The Earthquake
Escape the collapsing building together before it is too late.
A fast-paced survival role-play in which Partner A rushes into a room during a building fire and discovers Partner B. With smoke entering, the structure beginning to collapse, and the normal exits becoming inaccessible, the two must work together through a fictional AC route, improvised descents, simulated injuries, and a final passage through the rubble.
The Office Worker
The building is burning and becoming structurally unstable. The normal escape route may no longer be usable. The air ducts can provide an alternative route downward. All fire, smoke, collapsing debris, heights, jumps, and injuries are fictional and simulated. Both partners should move slowly even when their characters are acting urgently.

What you'll need
No props required — you're ready whenever you are.
Setting the scene
Atmosphere
Begin with normal room lighting, then turn the lights off when the fictional building begins to collapse. Keep the escape tense and urgent, then allow the final scene to become noticeably quiet and calm.
Setup
Prepare several soft pillows for simulated debris, a loose sheet for the final passage, and loose clothing or towels for symbolic smoke blockers, injury support, and climbing aids. Keep all movement areas clear.
Music
Optional cinematic disaster or suspense music can play quietly during the escape. Reduce or stop it during the final scene so the sudden silence becomes part of the experience.
Tweaks
- Read the complete experience before beginning, then put the phone away.
- Agree on a pause word or gesture before beginning.
- Move slowly because the real room, furniture, and heights are not proportional to the fictional building.
- Never actually jump from furniture, climb unstable objects, fall onto your partner, or place your full body weight on your partner.
- Any clothing, sheet, strap, or similar prop must remain loose and must never restrict breathing, circulation, or safe movement.
- Partners may tweak the experience or create their own rules.
